Are you able to make an egg stand without breaking it?
It is easy if you use a pinch of salt. Sprinkle a little bit of salt on a table and make the egg stand up on it. You can carefully blow away the grains of salt which are not directly under the egg. This little bit of support from a few grains of salt is enough to hold the egg.

Eggs and your teeth

Both eggshells and our teeth can be attacked by acidic substances. Look at what happened to this egg placed in cola for a while. But there is some help. Use a toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste and try it again.

Silver egg

With the help of a candle, cover the surface of a hard boiled egg with soot. After putting the egg which is black from soot into water it appears to be silver. Water doesn't soak into the greasy surface and all the rays which fall under a suitable angle on the edge of water and air reflect off it. That is the why the egg seems to be as shiny as a mirror.
